Our Adult Maths Class restarts today at the new time of 12pm – 1pm. Join us every Friday at the WG Grace Centre. The class is small, friendly and not like school at all! If you want to gain confidence, get useful maths skills for everyday life or even think about working towards a qualification then come along.

Meet at 1pm at the allotments (top of Mayeswood Road to the right of Grove Park Cemetery) we’ll have warm drinks waiting for you!
Parade starts at 1:30pm – pick up an instrument and help us make some noise and decorate the trees with toast robins. Then we’ll head down Mayeswood Road, turn on to Roseveare Road and celebrate the new fruit trees planted this year before heading on to the WG Grace Community Centre, where you’ll find more warm refreshments, free arts & crafts, games, a raffle and more!

We’re getting festive at our Thursday coffee mornings! This week we are decorating the hall, next week we have the fantastic Marvels Lane Primary School choir coming in to sing us carols and on 21st December we have our sing-a-long Christmas party. Our friends at the Word of Life Church on Mayeswood Road are opening a Warm Welcome Space every Friday from 12pm – 2pm starting this week. Pop in for a chat, some free refreshments, activities and computers and Wifi.
Our friends at The Ringway Centre on Baring Road will be opening every Monday over the winter months for free refreshments, wifi and activities – starting next week. Open to all, why not pop in for a cuppa!
Lots of people are really nervous about maths. If you have avoided it since school but actually would like to improve your maths then give our friendly adult class a try! We look at basic and useful skills that are relevant to everyday life. Pop in next Friday and see what you think.
Yes it’s cold and rainy but we always feel so much better after a walk in Chinbrook Meadows! Our
meets at the WG Grace Community Centre at 10am on Thursdays. We cater for all abilities from regular walker to newbie and promise a good chat and some healthy exercise. Completely free and everyone welcome.
We are moving forward with our plans to set up a new organisation to continue some of ChART’s work in Chinbrook when it stops next year. ChART currently run a food project, benefits & financial advice service, coffee morning, yoga, zumba and walking football classes, a walking group, ESOL classes, events including Apple Day, Wassail and the Spring Event and kids nature events, organises coach trips and provides support to Marvels Lane School and other local organisations.
On Wednesday 16th August we will be hearing about the different types of legal entities we can set up and the roles within them and hopefully making a decision about the form that will best fit the new organisation. We can then start the process of registering.
We want to get as much input from the community about what the best structure is and we will also be looking for people able to play a role in the new organisation. If you are interested in ChART in general but don’t want to take on a role in the new organisation then please do join us – we want to hear as many opinions as possible and make sure there is support for a new organisation.
Please feel free to bring friends and neighbours and remember that the new organisation will have a wider geographical area than ChART so those outside the current ChART area are very welcome.
